Delicious Solitude is the title of a new recording by Clare Wilkinson & Fretwork which will be issued in 2009. Here we preview some of the music on that recording, plus two new commissions, from Duncan Druce and John Joubert. We also celebrate the 350th anniversary of the birth of Henry Purcell with many of the fabulous Fantazias for viols, composed in that glorious summer of 1680, and with Fretwork's bold arrangement of 'O Solitude', one of his most perfect creations.
